If we have to be honest, no one really cares that much about how their fast food looks like, right? Except these people and their 10 junk foods turned into culinary masterpieces. Apparently taste is not everything in a good dish, you also have to have the looks, the aesthetics and the design. And when you can put a spin on everyone’s favorite boring foods, you can bet we’re listening. After all, who said junk food has to be eaten as it is? Why not put your signature on one and sweep your lady off her feet, or give your kids another reason to like mac and cheese?
1. Shoot for the stars
Guess what you get when chicken nuggets meet microwaved mac n’cheese to hang out with ketchup and ranch sauce? You get a surreal plate that screams “trailblazer” and is bound to be devoured by all five year olds.
2. Love is in the little things
Sure, you only have Oreos for dessert, but that shouldn’t stop you from impressing your significant other. You know that chocolate sauce that’s been in the fridge for seven months, when you thought you can bake brownies? Why not add some of that? Oh, there’s also milk in the fridge. You know how this could look fancier? In a wine glass.
3. French fantasy
Don’t let this chef’s imagination fool you, this is actually a corn dog dish. And nothing more. Though we must give it to the guy and admit it looks pretty impressive. Not sure how much it adds to the taste, but the use of greenery in this one is pure gold.
4. Second day pizza reboot
If you’re like Joey and you don’t like wasting food (or sharing it), watch and learn. Some guy looked around his kitchen when he woke up bright and early around 1 pm and felt like eating some day old pizza. But not like us ordinary people. Not only did he use a plate, I also suspect a knife was involved. The result speaks for itself.
5. This one goes to all children who want to grow up already
Y’all know you wanted to do exactly this at some point in your childhood but there was always a mom, a grandad or an aunt supervising our three balanced meals per day. But now, as a responsible, emancipated adult, you can do whatever you want. French fries and chocolate, here I come!
6. Frozen pizza gone classy
You wouldn’t guess by looking at it, but this is actually frozen pizza at its best. None of those burnt edges, frozen core or see through salami. Someone watched MasterChef last night and decided they can whip up something without even leaving the house.
7. Frizza?
By looking at this picture you’ll either go “Finally!” or “Work of the devil!” I’m not sure if this is an acquired taste. Maybe if you like pizza and French fries that means you automatically like frizza. Either way, the creator of this dish doesn’t seem afraid to reach out for what he wants.
8. This is how you get your kid to eat his peas
This minimalist dish tells the story of a concerned single father who is trying to diversify his kids’ dietary plan. He starts bold, by introducing the kiddos to peas and mustard. Next up, broccoli with mac n cheese.
9. The smart way to sandwiches
Why waste your calories on bread when you can use them on doubling the amount of ham and slathering everything in mayonnaise? You don’t have to eat the cucumber, it’s just there for support.
10. Dessert or disaster?
Everything looks better in a wine glass. Yes, even milk and cereals. Instant glamour, same taste.
