7 Best Android Apps for Busy People

December 15, 2014 By Fred Mitchell Leave a Comment

It seems that we live in a world where being busy is an indication of success. Being busy means that you’ve got a job, things to do that will bring you money, that you’re part of the society and you’re loving it. But things aren’t easy at all for the busy person. Stress is a horrible illness that brings along with it many other and the really sad part about the whole stress thing is that so many people don’t really consider it a disease. Today, we’ve got the best Android apps for busy people that will help simplify your life.

Best Apps for Busy People

best android apps

Twitter and Facebook (Free)

Twitter and Facebook are definite must-haves! Be kept up to date with what’s going on in the world in 140 characters or fewer or know what your friend from high school is up to! These two are wonderful apps if you love socializing… or creeping on people.

WhatsApp (Free)

Why get WhatsApp when you could send an SMS? Well, because WhatsApp is completely free! It uses up your cellular data or connects to Wi-Fi and aside from texting, you can also send sound bites and pictures, completely free. All you need to do is download it and let it access your contacts and then you’re good to go!

Google Keep

Google Keep is starting to come pre-loaded on some Android phones, which means that Google loves it to death and so will you. It integrates voice dictation, has a cool widget and if you use this app on Chromebook it will sync with mobile notes saved there. You need this note-taking tool if you love Android!

Endomodo PRO ($3)

If you’re a sports fan, then Endomodo PRO is the perfect app for you! This is a very popular sports tracker that will cover every sport you can think of and it will also track your rides, runs and walks. The paid PRO version has a nice terrain chart and more stats and it’s cheap.

Google Camera

Do you love photo editing the photos you took with your smartphone camera, but you’re not satisfied with the capabilities of your camera or its interface? Then we recommend Google Camera, a standalone camera app with a simple interface and wonderful camera effects. We love the fact that it is incredibly easy to use and fast.

PushBullet

If throughout the day, you’re working on your computer and you don’t want to be bothered to check your phone every time a notification comes through, then you should get PushBullet. Download the app, get the extension for your browser and then you’re done! All the notification that appear on your smartphone, also appear on your computer screen. That includes text messages and calls, so if your mother is calling and you don’t want to pick up (although you should always pick up when your mother’s calling), you can just ignore the call after seeing it on your computer’s screen.

Apps You Don’t Need

In terms of apps you don’t really need, regardless of being busy or not, here are a few pointless apps that are just going to take up your time. In general, battery app are pretty useless. They say that they help you maximize your battery life, but in fact, they don’t really make much difference. Keep in mind that while a software update can indeed improve battery life, an app can’t really do that.

Weather apps are also quite useless. All smartphones have a weather app integrated in their interface, so you don’t need to take up more room by an additional app. Google makes a wonderful calendar that is integrated in your Android phone, so there is no need for you to download another Calendar app.

What is your favorite Android app? Share it with us, we would love to hear about it.
